What is Hypnosis and can I be hypnotized?

Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention that you enter, dozens of times every single day.

It may even come as a surprise to learn that you’re already an expert at going into hypnosis because you’ve been doing it everyday of your life!

Some common examples of these naturally-occurring hypnotic trances include:

  • Driving
  • Watching TV or a movie
  • Reading a book
  • Scrolling through Social Media
  • Daydreaming or Meditating
  • Playing a Sport or Musical Instrument
  • Working in a busy environment

Have you ever “zoned out” while driving and forgotten parts of your journey yet still arrived safely at your destination?

Maybe you’ve laughed, cried or felt other emotions while watching a movie?

Or, maybe you planned to quickly check your social medias only to find yourself
still scrolling an hour or two later!

Again, these are all common everyday activities where you enter Hypnotic states without even realizing it.

So yes, everyone can be hypnotized because it’s already happening naturally everyday!

How does it feel to be in Hypnosis?
Will I be aware and in control?

During a Clinical Hypnosis Session, you will feel a relaxed awareness, similar to a daydreaming or meditative state.

You will be fully aware of your surroundings and in control at all times.

The myth of not being in control or totally unaware while in Hypnosis comes from the world of Stage Hypnosis which is purely for entertainment purposes.

Clinical Hypnosis Sessions are completely different as they are used for therapeutic purposes to assist you with your goals.

In fact, all Hypnosis is Self-Hypnosis; meaning that the only person that can make you go into Hypnosis, is YOU!

My role as a Hypnotist is to show you how you can easily create and enter a Hypnotic trance state yourself.

Are Online Hypnosis Sessions effective?

Yes, Online Hypnosis Sessions have been proven to be just as effective as in-person Hypnosis Sessions.

As well as being more convenient, many people report feeling Online Hypnosis Sessions to be more effective!

This is often because they are in the comfort of their own home and can feel even more relaxed and in control.

As you look around this website, you will see testimonials from past client’s confirming the effectiveness of Online Hypnosis Sessions.

What happens during a Hypnosis Session?

During your Hypnosis Session, we will be working with your Unconscious Mind
(the part of your mind responsible for running automatic behaviours, habits, patterns and more)

This is because almost all issues are rooted in the Unconscious Mind and are usually run automatically, often without your conscious involvement!

Think of a Smoker wanting to quit smoking yet they continue to find themselves lighting up.

Or someone with a intense fear or phobia; they may try to reassure themselves that they’re safe, but those intense feelings still appear in that situation.

These patterns are similar to a program or app being installed on a computer;
once a program is installed, it will continue doing it’s job in the background until it’s “uninstalled”.

The reason why Clinical Hypnosis is so effective is because we will work with
your Unconscious mind to make powerful changes and remove those oldprograms“.

How many Hypnosis Sessions will I need?

The number of Hypnosis Sessions you need will vary depending on your issue.

For example, issues like Quitting Smoking and certain Fears & Phobias are most often dealt with in one session.

Other issues like Anxiety may take between 2-4 sessions while a Weight Management programme may take between 3-5 sessions.
